Solar Blues

Can you rise again?

Rise again.

Your golden light will only suffice.

Rise.

Let me be overcome by your effulgence.

Last long today with me, like the Solstice.

I am hoping you send your rays my way.

Peak over mountains, through my window.

Let your heat waves vibrate.

Brush up against my skin, gently.

I have been waiting all night just to have you here with me.

Can you rise again?

Rise again.

Only your golden light will suffice.

Come on, rise.

How long does the night last?

If I could just sleep to let the night pass,

I would not be consumed with missing you.

Missing you, I do;

It is moreso because when I yawn, you are just beginning.

Yet, I Love to watch you go from dawn to Zenith;

Evening down to setting, casting shadows.

And, directly upon me you make my #SoulGlow.

Your radiance, I emulate.

‘Cause it is my mind, you tend to stimulate.

You are consistent in character…

The reason I Love to stare at you,

You give me something to look up to…

Even when you come down;

Leaving me, ready to go up too.

I am trusting the heights with you.

Can you rise again?

Rise again.

Your golden light will only suffice,

Reminiscing helps me through the night.

I am waiting for you tonight.

Rise.

  1. I read your poetry and It feels so visceral. I often pause or read certain stanzas over again to take them in, and ponder the intended interpretation of your words. Its almost as if I’m getting a glimpse of forbiddenly private thoughts, yet, at the same moment, being dared to read on and find out more…

    1. I appreciate the way you take in these lines. It’s important for me that people know that each line has a meaning of its own, each stanza, as well as the entire piece. Thank you for spending the time interpreting for yourself.
